Reflections on the Reboot

As is the tradition, I will be offering up my thoughts on this year’s CSS Reboot. First of all, congratulations to anyone who made the deadline, there where a lot of hot designs unleashed this year, so well done everyone. It has been a real blast and I am very proud that I could have been part of it.

After the scare on Monday, where I was unable to get onto the site at all I doubted that anyone would even see my newly designed blog. I actually bought a premium spot; just to see what would happen, see if anyone would like the site. I am actually really chuffed with the kind comments I have been receiving so thanks one and all. I have turned into a stats whore this past week, checking mint whenever I get the chance (thanks go to Mr Inman, for such a cool little app).

So what’s next? Well, I plan to write up my process, of design and a bit of code, as any good rebooter would. Hopefully that will give you something to stick around for. I also have a couple of other features to roll out, the whole theme needs a final polish, the CSS needs sorting and I plan to put up an about page.

Finally I leave you with my favourites from the event. Obviously the big hitters – Bryan Veloso, Matt Brett, Jonathan Snook and Kyle Jones, but you wouldn’t expect anything less from these guys. As well as that crew, Alex Graul, Rob Goodlatte and David Longworth all kicked some serious arse this reboot!
