Rebooted

Welcome one and all to blog.critical version 3. I hope you all like what you see. I am really stoked with the way this design has turned out, I hope you all like it as well. In the coming weeks, I am planning to highlight some of the things I have done with the design and the code.

I am also planning to add in some more features over the coming weeks, including tags, improved achieve pages, and an about and contact page. No doubt there will also be some design tweaks here and there as well.

Lastly, those of you viewing the site in Internet Explorer (shudders) should realise that you are not getting the full experience. If you want to see the site in all its glory, I urge you to get Firefox.

Please drop me a comment to tell me what you think of the new design, and I would like to say congratulations to anyone else who made the deadline, I will highlight some of my favourites once I have had a chance to see them all.

    Nice design! I really like the deep blue and diagnal lines. Nice!

    I am also wondering what last.fm plugin are you using to get the album art to show?

    Whoa, awesome job on the redesign! Your colour scheme is very unique.

    I really like the over-brightening/outer glow you’ve given some elements.

    @Shayne: I guess it’s Scrobbler.

    The blue/purple thing does indeed look very good, great job on that. But I was wondering if the arrangement of “Latest Posts / Latest Comments” and the flickr/last.fm thing is really below each other? Or should it be side by side?

    Awesome. You focused on content rather than design. I applaud you, no one seems to do that these days.

    Found your site from the rebooted page. Awesome design, kudos! I wondered what, if anything, am I missing by viewing the site with IE 7 Beta 2? It seems that Microsoft _may_ (obvious emphasis) have fixed a few things…

    Cheers for all the kind words guys!

    @Shayne - Jeriko One hit the nail on the head, it’s Scrobbler indeed.

    @Jeriko One - The latest comments and flickr/last.fm blocks should be side by side indeed, looks like you found a bug I overlooked. What browser and OS are you using? Any chance of a screenshot?

    @ Paul - Chances are, not much i have an IE6 stylesheet which is wrapped in a conditional comment for IE6, i’m yet to test in Internet Explorer 7, infact i havn’t even downloaded it.

    Thanks again guys, hope some of you stick around for a while, who knows i might right something useful…
