New Old Hobby
A couple of years back, back when I had a load more time on my hands I used to have a hobby which I really enjoyed. That hobby was Games Workshop, and more specifically the Warhammer 40,000 gaming system, a rich futuristic world set in the 41st millennium. A world where hulking green Orks are ripped into shreds by 8 feet tall super human warriors wielding weapons that crackle with unknown energies. Good stuff indeed.
For those who don’t know Warhammer 40,000 is a table-top strategy game which involves four main items; collecting, modeling, painting and gaming. Like the sound of any of this? Games-workshop have a much more in depth guide to getting started in the hobby.
I have already bought myself a copy of the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook and will be picking up my first box of models and some materials at some point next month which I am really looking forward to. I have already settled on the Chaos Space Marines as my army of choice. I used to collect them previously and I think they will be a good start to the hobby again.
