Work with Me!

Binamic are currently hiring. We are looking for a web designer/developer to come and work with us full time. Head over to the jobs section of our site to find out more and send us your CV.

Briefly Introducing: iclypso.com

A quick note for those who don’t follow me on Twitter. I recently launched iclypso a place to find WebClip icons for your iPhone or iPod Touch. Thanks to some brilliant submissions the site is now hosting 58 brilliant icons.

Blocked

Rob Goodlatte writes about designer’s and writer’s block in his latest article. He suggests some good ways of getting back into the swing of things, and I think I should take his advice. The dust is really starting to gather around here, now, where is my sketchbook?

rSpec Basics Screencast

For those of you who have read some of my previous tweets you may have gathered that I am trying to learn Rails and rSpec. So it is with great timing that Peep Code released a new screencast: rSpec Basics. Rest assured that is is a super high quality movie, well worth the cash.

@media 2007 Rocked!

I decided to save you the huge @media write up, but suffice to say it was an awesome event! I had the pleasure of hanging out with Nick Dunn for the two days and had a brilliant time. I am now suitably inspired for my next project. Hope everyone else had a good time there, […]

Introducing: The ‘folio

I launched my portfolio site the other day, based on the same grid system that I developed for this blog. The site is built using Cake PHP and it is the first time that my main domain has had a proper website on it, have a little look and let me know what you think.

Tasty Little Icons

Icon Buffet has been around for a while now, but I have only just got in on the action and it seems to be pretty fun! It is also a great example of a web 2.0 app that has a real personality.

d.Construct 2007

Clear Left has just debuted the new d.Construct 2007 site, currently sporting a “Wireframe Look” as this years one day event is focused on Designing the User Experience. I didn’t realise how affordable the event was (£85+VAT, not too bad) so I may try and get to this conference as well.

New Nonsense

Andy Clarke launched the new version of Stuff & Nonsense today. The site sports great new visuals and still renders in black and white if you view it in IE6.

From the Ashes

Bryan Veloso has just re-launched Avalonstar. It’s great to see Bryan back on the web and he has produced another great design with some hot typography.

Little Distractions

Version Four finally brings Asides into the mix, so when I find cool stuff on the web, or want to make a little announcement I can post it here. Just think of it like Twitter but a little bit more interesting.
