Catching Up
I’ve been meaning to get this post out for about a week, but one thing and another led to delays and pure laziness.
Carrie’s birthday was on the 15th; I took her for a meal got her a CD and made her a piece of ‘art’ I think she liked it, though she will have to get used to the steady stream of geeky images and hand made presents over useful stuff like make up and what ever else girls like as presents, clearly I don’t know.
The Fallout went live the other week; I assume most of you saw the post. We have made some progress with the password we now know 6 characters, though I have a feeling the last 4 are now lost in the ether of the internet. I hope I am wrong though.
It’s almost been a month since I announced I would be taking part in the may CSS reboot. I also started the articles. Since then not a lot has happened. This month seems to have evaporated, maybe even just spontaneously combusting. Which means the pressure is now on to get the design done, coded and published by May the first. Plus I have got to sort out my hosting. Fingers crossed I can get my act together. I have decided that the articles at the moment will focus on implementation over design, so I can keep the design secret until the reboot actually happens. Articles about design will follow shortly after the reboot.
Finally, I picked up a copy of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
I got the collector’s edition to be precise, which includes a map, guide book, making of DVD and a Septim (the in-game currency) all in a very pretty fold out box.
The game itself is nothing short of astounding. Man alive it’s brilliant, so rich and detailed, so intricate and the views are just breath taking. I have been taking screen shots like a mad tourist. Expect an article or 2 about my adventures in Tamriel very soon.
Of course, starting this game could be the biggest mistake in terms of getting the reboot done, but its so easy to melt away into another world.
