Almost Collapsed

The plan for this post was to discuss the merger between Macromedia and Adobe which is currently taking place. I don’t know the legal ins and outs of a massive merge like this, nor do I know what it will ultimately lead too, I’m sure its going to be a step in the right direction. Unfortunately for you lot, I won’t be doing that, because somehow Ben managed to beat me to it! God knows how it happened but he did, though I enjoy the way he says things like ‘Things in the world of JD Scrapbook are going to be quiet’ and then posts 3 times in 5 days! You got to love him for it though!

So instead I’m going to talk about my little adventure that happened this morning, which proves without a shadow of a doubt that Tuesdays are the worst day of the week. So I get off the bus, as usual, my feet hit the pavement and a tap for pockets to check all is well, iPod check, phone, PHONE?!?! Yup, my phone had fallen out, I did the only logical thing, I shouted at the top of my voice to try and make the bus stop. It didn’t work, so I did the next logical thing. I tried to beat it to the next bus stop! C’mon like I had a hope in hell! I got about half way and almost collapsed. I got into work, and panicked for a bit. My first and only real thought was “oh my god, I won’t be able to ring Carrie!!” Then I calmed down and realised I should just ring my phone.

So I did, and somebody answered, it was Rachel one of the school girls who gets the bus at the same time as me, I explained what had happened and she said she would give me my phone when I got on the bus after work. Indeed she did, I got on the bus and she was there with my phone! How god damn lucky am I? Thank goodness there are some nice people in the world left. She could of taken out my SIM card and been quite a bit richer and I would have been none the wiser. So I thank her for being a legend. I bought her some Christmas chocolates which I will give her tomorrow. Just to say thank you.
