Happy Titles!
Hot on the heels of supplying some patches for Formtastic, (a Rails plugin which provides a concise DSL for building semantic forms) I have just released a Rails plugin of my own, Happy Titles!
Happy Titles is a simple way to use multiple title formats in the same app. Seedvee needs different title formats for public and private pages, and this is the best way I could think of managing that requirement in a suitably DRY fashion. You can view the code right now on Github.
I want to thank Justin French for his help when I created some small patches for his Formtastic plugin. He made me realise that even though I don’t have a lot of experience I can still help out the open source community. Thanks also to all the clever chaps working on GitHub, I don’t think I would of ever had the oomph to release this if GitHub wasn’t here to make it so wonderfully easy and fun!

More Open Source
Just a quick note for anyone who may (or may not) be interested, I have got a couple more projects up on GitHub, which you can find at my profile page. HTML Sweetener is what I am calling my loose collection of text actions for Espresso. Nothing much at the moment but this sugar will hopefully expand as I get more into development with Espresso. The latest addition is the entire code base for the current version of andy-pearson.com which is a Rails app that pulls in my various feeds from around the web and spits them out in a nice lifestream format. I have a couple of things I want to do with that before I start work on the next version, so expect some more commits over there soon.

Seedvee Project Blog
Myself and my partner in crime Simon have just started a blog for a new project we are working on together. Check it out over at Seedvee and follow along as we embark on building a web app. We are also on Twitter, if you fancy.

Sound of Goo
World of Goo is brilliant, it’s like chocolate fudge cake, but for your eyes, and the part of you that likes games. Please buy it and play it if you haven’t already. Now the disgustingly talented Kyle Gabler has released the World of Goo Soundtrack, and listening to it is (unsurprisingly) like pouring smooth hot chocolate fudge sauce and moist chocolate cake directly into your ears.
